Richard is responsible for the creative direction of all our clients’ work, from creative strategy and concept development to the meticulous attention to detail and craft skills that ensure that every concept is executed to the highest possible standard.

He has over 26 years of experience in the Design, Brand Marketing and Communications business as a creative consultant and creative director. Richard has worked with many private and public sector organisations in both consumer and B2B markets.

He has the skills and expertise to consistently apply original thinking to develop concepts that engage audiences and deliver tangible commercial results. He combines a passion for detail with the ability to find simple solutions to complex communication issues.

Richard is the founder of rhc creative strategy, a full-service creative agency with a blue chip client list that includes Alamo and National, Europcar, Alliance Boots, Berry Brothers & Rudd, Centre Parcs, Chelsea Football Club, Citigroup, Diageo, ISS, Inter-Continental Hotels Group, Rothschilds, Visit Britain, SEGRO, SDL, Starwood Hotels, Texas Instruments, WSP Group and Sennheiser.

Education and Experience

He graduated with a degree in Graphics and Communication from West Surrey University in 1980. Worked in numerous advertising and marketing agencies, including Thomas Leigh, Hesselburg & Steeden, Bell Carter Elliot & Richards, Milton Marketing, Core Creative and SG Advertising as an Art director/copywriter. Cutting the creative teeth on campaigns for Sony, Memorex and Manpower.

Having fought the creative crusades through London, and cheery picking a creative team along the way, rhc was set up the late 80’s. Within just a few years, significant contracts were won to produce below-the-line campaigns for British Tissues, Anchor Foods, Carlsberg Tetley, UDV and Center Parcs. Working with lead agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi, Bates Dorland and Ogilvy, to integrate creative campaigns through the line.

In a career spanning over 26 years, promoting both ‘awareness and need’ for hundreds of brand-leading FMCG’s and national and international brands, rhc has enjoyed incremental growth and industry recognition, with offices in London and the Home Counties.
